Ekam developed his commercial lending skills through his former positions in the diversified commercial banking units of Scotiabank & HSBC Bank, where he was responsible for underwriting deals up to $50 million. He has a deep knowledge of credit underwriting including technical analysis and financial modelling. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from York University with a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) Honours in Finance.
